Kids and Cold Weather

by

The Giant Salt Shaker
My wife, Kathy, and my two children, 3-year-old Jacob and 6-month-old Alyssa, were driving back home from an appointment after a light snow.
A snowplow was passing by in the opposite lane, and my son asked, "Mommy, what is that?"
     "It is a snowplow, dear."
     "What's it doing?" he asked.
     "It's spreading salt."
"Jacob thought for a moment, then asked, "Where's the truck that spreads the pepper?"

How Cold Is It?
Cabin fever was setting in. I knew it was time to venture out — as long as the temperature was above zero. My boys checked The Weather Channel, started bundling up and said, "Mom it's not just 10 degrees, it's dash 10!"
— Bridget from Illinois
