Homework Snapshot

by Alexandra Lutz

I've discovered that my tween's cellphone can be used for more than checking in with Mom or texting friends. While some teachers might object to any use of cellphones in the classroom, my son's teacher gave him permission to use the digital device to keep track of homework assignments. Each day, he takes a picture of the homework assignments his teacher writes on the board at school. When he gets home, there's no confusion about what pages to read, when an assignment is due or other details that are so easily forgotten.
