Prayers for Your Kids

This week's prayer:

Pray that your children will learn to forgive themselves when they have done something wrong and will realize that God forgives and forgets their confessed sins (Hebrews 8:12).

Past prayers:

Pray that your children will feel godly grief for their sin, which will lead them to repentance and salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10).

Ask Jesus Christ and God, our heavenly Father, to comfort your children's hearts and strengthen them in every good thing they do or say (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).

Pray that your children will turn to the Father of mercies and God of all comfort when they are faced with trouble (2 Corinthians 1:3).

Pray that you children will be kind to each other, tenderhearted and ready to forgive just as God has forgiven them (Ephesians 4:32).

Pray that your children will let Christ be the ruler of their hearts and be grateful (Colossians 3:15).

Pray that your child will have a tender heart and a humble mind around others (1 Peter 3:8).

Pray that the God of all hope will fill your child with His joy and peace as your child trusts in Him (Romans 15:13).

Pray that your children will keep their eyes on the eternal home that God has built for them (2 Corinthians 5:1).

Pray that your children will seek to please God, who gives them His wisdom, knowledge and joy (Ecclesiastes 2:26).

Pray that your children will trust God with all their hearts and look to Him for answers (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Pray that your children will show their love for Jesus by keeping His commandments. (John 14:21).

Pray that your children will love others as God has loved them (1 John 4:11-12)

Ask God to help your children understand that we are saved by God’s mercy, not our goodness. Pray that your children will accept God’s free gift of salvation if they haven’t already done so (Titus 3:5).

Ask God to show your children that His Word can give them wisdom and direction for their lives (Psalm 119:105).

Pray that your children will seek wisdom from God (James 1:5).

Ask God to help your kids respect and honor Him (Job 28:28).

Pray that your children would choose wisdom that is peace-loving, gentle and sincere (James 3:17).

Pray that your child would look for opportunities to share the hope she has in Christ (1 Peter 3:15).

Pray that your children would show others the love of Christ through their actions (Galatians 5:22-23).

Pray that your child would follow the example of Jesus rather than worldly patterns (Romans 12:2).

Pray that your kids would use the Bible to help them discern the truth (Ephesians 6:17).

Pray that your child would find strength in God's promise of salvation (Ephesians 6:17).

Pray that your kids would use their faith in God to shield them from temptation (Ephesians 6:16).

Ask God to help your children be prepared to share His love and Good News with others (Ephesians 6:15).

Pray that your kids would know the righteousness that comes through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 6:14).

Ask God to help your kids be confident in the truth of the Scriptures (Ephesians 6:14).

Pray that your children would never lose hope in those they love (1 Corinthians 13:7).

Ask God to help your children forgive those who hurt them instead of keeping a record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:5).

Ask God to help your child love others by protecting their feelings (1 Corinthians 13:7).

Pray that your child would be kind to others (1 Corinthians 13:4).

Pray that your child would learn to be patient with others (1 Corinthians 13:4).

Pray that God would reveal His nature to your children through His Word (Psalm 86:15).

Pray your children would begin to understand how the stories in the Bible are relevant to their own lives (Proverbs 30:5).

Ask God to help you use the Bible as you teach and train your children (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Pray that God would grant your child a spirit of power, love and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Pray that your children would fix their eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).

Pray that your child would not be anxious but instead bring concerns to God in prayer (Philippians 4:6).

Pray that your child would enjoy God's creation and see that it is good (Genesis 1:11-13).

Pray that your child will seek the light and flee from darkness (Genesis 1:3-5).

Pray that your kids would trust God to provide for them (Philippians 4:19).

Pray that your children would be obedient to Christ (Colossians 3:17).

Pray that your kids would use words that honor Jesus (Ephesians 4:29).

Pray that the Holy Spirit would guide your child's thoughts (Psalm 139:23-24).

Pray that God would send His angels to watch over your child (Psalm 91:11).

Pray that your child would worship the Lord with joy (Psalm 148).

Pray that your child would turn to God for help (Isaiah 59:1).

Pray that your children would strive to live together in unity (Psalm 133:1).

Thank God that he created your children in His image (Genesis 1:27).

Pray that your kids would give their burdens to Christ (Matthew 11:28).

Pray that your kids would be just and merciful as they live for God (Micah 6:8).

Pray that your children would believe Jesus' words (John 5:24).
