Family Devotion: God's Requirements

by Marti Pieper

micah-6-8Play: Try to remember the good deeds that people you know have done in the last week. Take turns listing as many of these good deeds as you can in one minute.

Talk: God gives us the power to do good things. In Micah 6:8, God says that He wants us to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Him. To "act justly" means to treat others in ways that follow God's rules — telling the truth, not cheating or stealing. To "love mercy" means to show others kindness and grace. And to "walk humbly with your God" is to follow God obediently, allowing Him to be in control. What are some good things we could do today, and which category does each fit into?

Pray: Thank God for giving you the power to do what His Word says is good.
