Family Devotion: The Bible Is History

by Juliet K. Kennedy

week-21Play: Take turns thinking of Bible characters whose names begin with each letter in the alphabet. (You might need to skip some letters.) Tell one thing you remember about each person you name.

Talk: The Bible tells the stories of each character you named and many more. The Scriptures are about real events that happened long ago, including God's creation of the earth and the life of Jesus. Proverbs 30:5 says, "Every word of God is flawless." Who is your favorite character in the Bible, and why do you like that person?

Pray: Ask God to show you what He wants you to learn from the real stories in the Bible.
